Palmistry

People relate palm reading to the traditional idea of a gypsy woman at a fair, where her palm is crossed with silver as payment, although readings cost a lot more than this nowadays. In exchange, she reveals the secrets she sees in her customers hands.

Having recently had a palm reading done myself, after being interested in this form of divination for so long, I found it to be interesting to watch and see how the reader analysed and received the information he got.

Surprisingly, he picked up information about me, my character, feelings, feelings and situations that I’ve had, and been involved in, days and even weeks before the reading - career ideas and opportunity's, along with other personal information.

Now, I am quite a ‘closed book’ as I don't tell or give too much away where feelings and stuff are concerned. Even those close to me I hide these things from, which is why I found the reading even more interesting, in that complete stranger can tell me these personal things that only I myself know.
He did all this by purely by examining my hands.

How your hands are analysed

It is not just the lines that are read and looked at during a reading. The hands are closely examined and take into account the shape of the hands, the fingernails, the back of the hands, knuckles, the length of fingers compared to palms, the size and angle of the thumbs and even the colour and texture of the skin. Wrists are also of significance.

During a reading both hands should be examined NOT just one. 

A quick look at some of the lines which are read during a reading.

HEART LINE - Relates to emotions, sensuality, and the health of the heart.

LIFE LINE - Relates to life force, energy drive, how we choose to travel through life and our physical health. A lot of people seem to think that the life line represents the length of your life. This is not necessarily true.

HEAD LINE - Relates to the intellect, the mind, career and mental health.

HEALTH LINE - Relates to health problems, the line will appear when there is a problem and disappear when health is restored.

APOLLO LINE - Represents home, family, creativity, the arts and fortune.

INTUITION LINE - Represents intuition and psychic ability.

This is only a quick summary, there are also other things such as the eight mounts your hand is divided into these are called-(1) Mount of Jupiter, (2) Mount of Saturn, (3) Mount of Apollo, (4) Mount of Mercury, (5) Mount of Venus, (6) Mount of the Moon, (7) Mount of Upper Mars, (8) Mount of Lower Mars.

As with any form of divination, the lines on your hand do not reveal a fixed future. They tell you more about yourself, your future and fate. Personally I feel life is ever changing and therefore cannot be predicted.
