Introduction:

We received an invitation to join a group of investigators, based on the Dorset / Hampshire border, on one of their investigation nights taking in a couple of locations in the area.

We spent a very enjoyable evening in excellent company at five locations overall, but at one location in particular, Laura picked up particularly vivid information that we feel would be worth focussing upon for the purpose of this summary report:

Report:

_____ Lane is best described as a country lane of a fair age, running roughly along a north / south line of around a mile in length, with a dog leg bend approximately halfway along its length.

We met up with our hosts for the evening as planned and soon found ourselves the final vehicle in a convoy of three, snaking off into the dark Hampshire countryside.

We approached the lane from the south, making our way to a parking spot at the northern end, near to its junction with the coast road. As we drove along the unlit lane, the only light being from the headlights of our vehicles and reached the bends.

As we exited the final corner, Laura commented that she could see shadows scurrying across the road in front of us. Then, a couple of seconds later, without warning, Laura let out a gasp of surprise. I looked across to the passenger seat of the car and see that Laura looked shaken.

Laura told me that she turned to face me and had seen a young child, a boy of around 8 to 9 years old, sat in the middle of the rear seat of the car.

We followed the two vehicles in front of us to a parking area at the top of the lane. Everyone got out of the cars and a protection circle was formed, although I did not take part. At this point there were only ten of us in the party, although we were to be joined by three others at another location.

The group then commenced walking back down the lane, followed by Laura and myself. I checked my watch, it was 11pm.

We had decided just to use our digital stills cameras for this one, along with a notepad and pen.

After about 50 yards we had managed to get in front of the majority of the group when Laura started experiencing chest pain, followed by the name ‘Johnny W’ plus a surname that she couldn’t quite pick up. The time was only 11:05pm. Laura then told me that someone was stabbed then hanged, although she wasn’t sure if somebody had stabbed someone then was hanged themselves, it wasn’t clear. Then, almost to herself, “Stabbed in chest, legs feel weak, a man”.

Still receiving information, Laura explained that there was something to do with the neck – as if the man had his neck cut from ear to ear

“but he was still walking” said Laura. She then picked up the name ‘Douglas M’ plus a surname that she couldn’t get.

The point where Laura picked up on the 'stabbed man'

As we continued down the lane Laura’s chest pains disappeared and she was no longer experiencing any discomfort.

By now we had walked a fair distance down the lane and were approaching the first of the bends. As we neared, Laura commented that she could see shadows on the bend.

Laura then sensed a car crashed on the bend “it came around the corner and fell down there”, indicating a ditch to the left of the road as your drove northwards, just prior to the final bend.

Laura advised that there were a family in the vehicle and it rolled down into the ditch. Three people were in the car, the little boy that Laura had seen in my car earlier, plus his mother and father who she estimated to be in their late 20’s or early 30’s. The vehicle itself was white or red. Despite the obvious contrast in colours, Laura was having difficulty in sensing the colour of the car.

Continuing past the first bend and along the short straight to the second bend, Laura started to get stomach pains, which she described as really bad and all around her front. At the same time Laura kept getting the name ‘Wilkins’ – which may be connected to the family in the car crash.

Reaching the second bend, Laura felt unable to continue along the road and wanted to turn back, she felt that we were not supposed to go any further. Turning around, we met up with the majority of the rest of the group back at the first bend, where pleasantries were exchanged.

At this point, looking back up the lane northwards, to where the cars were parked, I saw a shadow, in the shape of a person, dart quickly past a tree and into the hedge on the right hand side of the road. The shadow was a lighter shade of black.

I immediately turned to Laura, who pre-empted what I was going to say by asking me if I saw the shadow. We quickly established that we had observed the same thing. At this point I took a photograph of the area where we had seen the shadow for future reference.

No one else appeared to have noticed what we had seen and were discussing, so we rejoined the general conversation.

Laura then reported to me that she felt breathless and picked up on a priest, wearing flowing robes but no hat, wandering down the lane towards us. At this point the subject changed and Laura informed me that the car had rolled 2 and a half times and ended up on its roof in the lower field, next to the road. The passengers may have killed as a result of the accident.
Scribbling down notes, I listened to Laura who went on to advise that the accident was as a result of a collision with a tractor.

Moving along the lane Laura picked up the word ‘manual’. She then suddenly advised that she couldn’t breathe and felt sick. Pausing for a moment, she advised that the word was actually the name ‘Emmanuel le’ then another name, then ‘Berry’ – ‘Emmanuelle **** Berry’. Laura reported that her legs were hurting again.

As we walked back along the lane, towards the first bend approaching from the south, Laura picked up upon a woman, who went to help with the car crash. She wasn’t very old.

Once again, Laura picked up upon a tractor.

Laura indicated the car had left the road here.

As we walked back along the lane, towards the first bend approaching from the south, Laura picked up upon a woman, who went to help with the car crash. She wasn’t very old. Once again, she picked up upon a tractor.

At this point we decided to head back along the lane towards our car and as we went around the final bend, back up the straight to where the car was parked, Laura again reported stomach pains and that her legs felt very heavy – “like wearing clogs”.

About twenty yards away from the bend, Laura sensed lots of people in this area and a hospital, specialising in disease. She also picked up the name ‘Haydon’.

By now, some of the other members of the group had caught us up and had overtaken us. We increased our pace and walked on ahead.

As Laura approached the parked car, she picked up the name Elliot, the last name of a woman. Laura also reported an ‘itchy’ feeling to her face.

Nothing further of note took place and once again a protection circle was formed where a closing prayer was said. We soon found ourselves departing for the next location.

Footnote:

Towards the end of the investigation we checked some of the information that Laura had picked up with some of the local investigators, M. and A.

Of particular interest to M. and A. was the information Laura received regarding the stabbing / hanged incident and the car accident.

There was a local legend that the road was an old smugglers route and during the civil war a soldier had been captured by the opposing forces whilst trying to run a message to port. The solder was run through by bayonet and there was a hanging tree in that area.

In addition there had, apparently, been a serious car accident in the lane at the spot where Laura had picked up the information, although the exact details were not known, but it was believed that there were casualties.

At the time of writing, researching had proved to be difficult and the exact situation has still to be established.
